Plans for the kewlist website!!
An overview of my goals and ambitions for the site.

TWs: none
Hey... how is it a month later? Too focused on working on the site to add to the blog, it seems. So, how about two birds with one stone? In this blog post, I'm going to try to organize my ideas and plans into one place. This will be fun to look back on once the website has come along more! Each thing I list will have specified if it's a plan, or an idea. That means if it's a plan, I fully intend on doing it. If it's an idea, it may or may not come to fruition. Alrighty, let's begin!
Homepage
Yeah, that's right. So far along and I don't have a homepage! How pathetic. I think once my homepage is completed, then the website can finally be launched! Here is what my "homepage" looks like now:

To me, that looks like a whole lot of nothing. But hey, at least it has a list of the pages I am 100% going to have, because I've already started making them! Firstly, the blog!
Blog
You are on the blog right now, obviously, so you can see how it's going. I'm going to keep every individual blog post unedited, like a time machine! If I want to reinvent the style or how the blog is arranged, then that's fine, but the old blog posts will remain as they were originally created. If you're seeing this far in the future, you have an idea of how the blog looked in March 2025! How fun!
Another plan for the blog is for making it easier to understand. I often talk in references or memes, talk like an autistic person, or talk like I'm in the year 2025. I want the people looking back at this site years from now to be able to understand everything. So, my solution? I'm going to make it so that if a text could use clarification or context, you'll be able to hover your mouse over the text, and it will add context or explain what it means! I don't actually know how to do that, but I think it's a swell idea. Hey, try this! Hover your mouse to where it says "talk like an autistic person." If I figured it out, it should have a clarifying hover text!
Now, here is an idea for the blog: A tagging system! I think over time I will blog about all types of things. Maybe food for thought, or works in progress, or newly completed projects and art, or even some tutorials! Anyhow, I'm imagining that every blog post can have a tag, which specifies what kind of blog post it is. This one, for example, would be under "works in progress". Wouldn't it be fun too if you could click on a tag, which will filter it so you only see ones under that tag? Like if you only want to see art, you can make it so that only art blog posts are shown! I think it's a great idea for when this place gets more crowded. I won't fiddle with it now however, since I don't have much of a feel for blogging yet. Once I've made a dozen blog posts, then I can think about how to sort them.
Socials
The socials page is something I will definitely do. I've gathered a lot of social media accounts over the years, and it's annoying keeping the links to all of them in each profile description. I think it's about time I make something adjacent to a Linktr.ee. I want to make my own though, so I have full creative control. In my head I'm also envisioning something similar to a Straw.Page. All of those that I've seen are pretty cool. But, again, I want full creative control, so I shall draw out what I'm envisioning, and make it reality! I also already have a bunch of social media buttons I've made for my Artfight profile, so I'm already off to a good start! I just need to lock in, when I have the time. Here, you can see the ones I have made down below:

Portfolios
My next plan is to make some kind of portfolio for all my projects! I am thinking of one for videos, and one for fursuits. In truth however, I might just make my portfolio into one page, with subcategories so specific things can be easier found. Maybe I could do something like the tagging system I was talking about doing for the blog. I have a lot of pictures and memories of old projects being made, and I've done enough at this point that I often forget the things I've done, or in what order and year I've done them. Mostly, I think it would just be nice so everything is organized and accessible. Then I won't forget, and my photos of them won't be scattered about aimlessly. It would also be nice to see everything laid out like that. See how far you've come, instead of how far is left to go, you know?
Video player
Here's an idea that I love, but have no idea where to begin. A video player! Remember when YouTube used to be cool? Where channels were customizable and visually interesting? I wish to bring that back, so who says I can't? I could put all the videos here on a Youtube-esk page, but make everything way cooler. There is a lot of potential here I reckon, but I think this particular idea is too ambitious for right now. I'll wait a bit until the site has come along further, and then I'll revisit this idea.
Video games page
Now, this idea sounds a bit pointless, but hear me out. I love to play video games, and a lot of video games have content to share! Custom textures, characters, skins, things like that. It would be a fun place to put my MineCraft hotbar texture which I love, for example. I could also put codes for the Miis I've made in Miitopia or Tomodachi Life.

Most of all, I want to put up my Animal Crossing New Horizons islands! I have three islands, all on dream addresses, and two are completely deleted from my Switch. This means, if it gets taken down for whatever reason, it will be gone forever. So, I might as well share them while they last! I could even put in tons of pictures of each island, so it'll be like they're never really gone. I know they're just save files, and I won't care when I'm 80, but I have worked pretty hard on them. I think a webpage would be perfect to preserve them, in a way. Plus, if you're not too far into the future, you can probably still visit the dream address right now! Maybe you can come visit Comforts, Hugzville, or Dreamscape when the codes are up, yeah?

Fanart wall page
Lastly, I want to make a fanart page! This is so I can have all the fanarts I've received all in one place. What I've done so far is I've hung all of them up on my wall. This is great, because my room looks awesome, and I can see the fanarts all the time! The problem is, I only have so many walls, and I'm running out of space quickly! Something I've done is I've made fanarts into phone wallpapers and widgets, which is a good compromise, but not all fanarts fit into those ratios very well. I wish I could have all of them all in one place. So, I think a digital "fanart wall" is a great idea!
Though, I don't know if I entirely can do that... I will definitely credit everyone, and link their social media (or social media directory, if they have one). But, I don't want anyone being upset with me. Going back and asking everyone will take forever, and a lot of them don't seem to be online anymore. So, here's what I think I'll do. I'll go back to every page where they've posted the fanart (if applicable), and see if they specify not to share it anywhere. If they do, then I'll leave theirs out. If not, I'll add them to the fanart page! Then somewhere incredibly obvious on my Artfight page, I will say that I plan to put them all on my website, and that if they tell me they don't want me to, then I won't. Also on the fanart page, I'll put another obvious disclaimer, stating that if any artist here wants their art removed, to email me and I'll remove it as soon as I can. I think this is a fair system. Honestly, I've almost never seen artists being upset when someone shares art that they made for them, so hopefully these precautions are enough.

And, those are all my primary ideas! I do have tons of smaller and less likely ideas, but we'll get there when we get there. And, of course, there's my blinkie collection site which I've mentioned in my last blog post. We'll see how much progress is made before Artfight. See you next time, woof woof.
